Profile

Hi there! I am a 4th-year Ph. D. candidate in Science and Technology Chemistry at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC),  under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fernando H. Bartoloni. Prior to starting my doctoral studies, I received my M. Sc. in Science and Technology Chemistry from UFABC in 2018.

My research interest lies in synthesizing small organic peroxides, specifically four-membered 1,2-dioxetanes and 1,2-dioxetanones that serve as models for some efficient light-emitting systems like the bioluminescence in fireflies. Understand the mechanism of chemiexcitation for the generation of singlet and triplet excited states from the thermal or induced decomposition of these peroxides, using kinetic analysis and computational methods such as Density  Functional Theory (DFT).
